Not surprised at all. The same dealer was also accused of warranty fraud against Hyundai back in 2019[1].

    1. Ex-Napleton exec claims firing stemmed from refusal to testify in boss’ sex assault case, May 9, 2020, Jane Musgrave, The Palm Beach Post.

    >Nearly a year after the heir to the Napleton car dealership fortune was accused of raping an unconscious woman at a West Palm Beach hotel, he faces a $10 million lawsuit from a former employee who says he was fired for refusing to participate in a cover-up.

    >… Eddleman’s lawsuit, filed by Miami attorney Daniel Rashbaum, reads like a white-collar crime thriller. It features separate chapters titled, “Warranty Fraud against Hyundai,” “Consumer Fraud,” “Sexual Harassment and Hush Money Cover-Ups,” and wraps up with Eddleman’s claims of Napleton’s confession.

    >… For instance, Rashbaum claims, the senior Napleton knew an unidentified manager at the company’s Hyundai dealership was “blowing up” engines to cash in on manufacturer recalls and that his son was encouraging him to do so.
