Kia EV3 2025 review: New electric car targets Hyundai Kona EV small SUV with 600km driving range!
Before it even launches, the 2025 Kia EV3 is shaping up as the South Korean brand’s best-selling fully electric vehicle (EV). Hot on the wheels of EV6 large and EV9 upper-large SUVs, the EV3 slots in underneath the upcoming EV5 mid-size SUV as a small SUV that appeals to the entry-level masses.
But even though it’s a range-opener, the EV3 seriously impresses on paper, offering the choice between 150kW/283Nm single-motor front-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive in the GT performance flagship. Better yet, battery options include 58.3kWh and 81.1kWh units, with the latter enabling a driving range of up to 600km.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Journalist Chris Thompson travels to South Korea to get an early taste of the new EV3 to find out if it will be worth waiting for ahead of its Australian release date. After all, it have to the rivalling Hyundai Kona Electric, among others, to contend with when it launches locally.
