VW ID Buzz vs Pacifica Hybrid Plug In
The Chrysler Pacifica plug-in has a real-world EV range of 40 miles! That means, it will rune in pure-EV mode for most days of the year, and get charged at home, visiting a gas-station only on a few occasions. But on the long-trips where the slow-charging Volkswagen, will literally waste hours, of your precious holiday time, searching and waiting for charging, the Pacifica, will re-charge at a ten thousand kilowatt-equivalent charging speed, in a two-minute tank-full. Not to forget, the Pacifica is nine-thousand dollars cheaper than the ID Buzz, and will hold much higher residual value in the next five years, while the EV values continue their free-fall. In terms of performance, both are evenly matched. The ID Buzz is a bit more powerful, but the Pacifica is a bit lighter. One aspect where the ID Buzz is surprisingly good, is the packaging. In spite of being nine-inches less in length it has incredibly spacious seating. Three six-footers can sit one behind the other with six inches of knee room left over for each of them.
