Turbo Ls (manual) or Blown 454 (auto)

    ive done a few turbo LS builds, Id really like to build a blown big block someday. in a camaro id probably go with the small block and a LSA blower.

    LS. I love a classic car with modern conveniences. AC. Overdrive. Fuel injection. Disc brakes. The more pleasant they are to drive the more they get driven, generally speaking.

    Im ok with mods, just not turbos out the hood. Otherwise, it’s sweet!!

    If you already own a blown 454, I don’t see how there’s much question. It’s a classic car. Let it have big classic power… unless it’s built in a way that makes it crappy to drive on the street.

    The 454 auto makes more sense.

    Either option is a lot more power than you can use on the street and a Turbo + Manual is too bipolar for the street. It’s the best setup if you’re the only car on the road, but the worst setup if you’re around anyone else.

    The auto 454 should be way more responsive in any traffic situation, and lets be honest, this is NOT the quickest car in traffic no matter how you build it. A soccer mom in a Tesla is quicker and more responsive by a long ways, the Turbo and Manual just make your chances of being embarrassed go up.

    Almost missed the twin turbos sticking thru the hood.. Personally, I’d go with a mountain motor, tunnelram, laughing gas and a Doug Nash 5-speed.
