Visited a couple of car museums in Estonia this summer and came across many interesting and unknown cars. This is GAZ-13 Chaika, an American-style, Soviet-made limousine. More info in the comments.

At a glance, this car might look like a generic luxury car made in the 1950’s in the US. But it’s actually a Soviet-made GAZ-13, nicknamed Chaika. It’s equipped with a 5.5L V8 that produces 145 kW (195 HP) and a 3-speed automatic and it weighs approximately 2000 kgs (4800 lbs). However, as you can probably imagine, this car wasn’t exactly available to the average Soviet citizen. These were made for the higher-ranking politicians and only 3,179 of them were built. It was being made from 1958 until 1981, when it was replaced by GAZ-14 that looked more modern, but still like a 1970’s car.
