I’ve been lucky enough to see a 959 on the road at a Rallye in my area, wich is hosted by Walter Rohrl.
The Porsche 959 S, particularly model number 30, is owned by Heinz Schmersal. Originally there were only 29 units build, but Schmersal’s vehicle became the 30th model due to a special incident: after the original suspension of his 959 was lost, Porsche agreed to convert it into the S version at his request.
