    The only car a mustang GT could take on back then was another mustang GT because the (F body) Camaro and Trans Ams had more hp and torque than any GT. Cobras were in the same category as an FBody and Corvette.

    LT1 Corvette/Trans Am/Camaro used the first 6-speed manual transmission.
