So the revised Chrysler 200 was not popular and was discontinued in 2 years. Having one that is a 200s with the 300hp v6 and a nine speed ZF trans with paddle shifts and sport mode is a lot of fun. AWD and runs well on E85 too. Add a few hood effects and the right wheels and it is a nice daily…

I remember the specs being pretty nice on these but by the time this gen came out they already had a bad rap, right?

The doors are very poorly designed so it’s kind of a pain in the ass to get in and out of.

    Dodge dart too

Im not a fan of the stripes

Few cars can pull off stripes… cobras, vettes, vipers, mustangs

Someone I used to live with had one, drove it somewhat frequently, by far the worst feeling car I’ve ever driven. Not too many issues out of it, it just seemed when shit broke it was always major shit. Mostly the cheap Chrysler component’s

They were the fastest & most powerful midsize sedan for a while until Toyota released the 2018 Camry with the 301 hp V6

This man’s personality is the Chrysler 200

The only impressive thing about these shitboxes was how badly Chrysler managed to fuck with the otherwise fantastic ZF transmission.

Hey homie sorry for the hate you’re getting lmao. That car is a POS but you have the best version of it al least!
I was t-boned a looong time ago, recieved a 2014/15 Chrysler 200 w/ the 4 cyl and the 9 speed as a temporary rental while my civic was getting fixed. That 200s interior was very nice in comparison to the civs, had more power, styling looked good, better sound system ect. But i could tell that tranny was gonna be an issue with the car. I remember hearing a clicking metallic sound whenever it shifteed though gears when i was rolling slowly. Had some kind issue with that dial shifter too(which i hated, so, so much).
That car could’ve had a chance IMO, but alas, its made by Chrysler. Glad you like yours though! Its a nice car aside from a few issues

People have short memories- the country and auto industry was a mess after Bush tanked the economy in 2007/2008. Chrysler developed this during this period and by the time it came out, things were coming around and people started buying bigger more expensive stuff. Among the Detroit Tier 1/2 guys I knew back then, it was a popular vehicle because it packed a lot of stuff in for a low price. Underrated despite what Consumer Reports might have said and the next Gen never built would have been BALLS. But that’s the way in goes in automotive …

I like these. They have a blue color that looks good and then they have the tan interior. That looks good. I respect it for what it is.

  11. The hood effects are not helping looks or herspers

Doug had a mildly hot take that the Chrysler 200 was cool when it’s optioned out this way but I don’t buy it. In my opinion, it’s a numb, poorly built Chrysler product that just doesn’t look good. Not all cars with higher than expected horsepower are automatically good.

If you like it, more power to you. I can certainly see the appeal but I don’t think anybody will ever think these cars are “slept on.”

I like how you say 9 speed like it’s supposed to impress us, kind of when kids used to talk about how their bicycle has 24 speeds. The more the better, right? Also, Chrysler still makes cars?

    “Hood effects”….? 🙄

And why TF would run that thing on E85? Sorry ass corn fuel that absolutely **tanks** your MPG numbers.

I mean… if you like it fine, it’s yours so enjoy it… still POS Chrylser no matter how you look at it though.

  15. Phil_Negivey

Just don’t buy a chrylser. Please don’t support companies that build bad cars.

Yk what is more reliable, faster, rwd/awd, more comfortable, and much cheaper. A g37 lol

Stelantis realized it couldn’t make a transmission so they bought the ZF9 speed that everyone uses. Then manufactured it wrong in Mexico and it grenades
