Is it possible to make this look good without getting new wheels?

Hey guys! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. A little while ago I was stuck up about ride quality and purchased these 17” rims, thought I was never gonna lower my car. I always knew the fitment looked bad but I didn’t care at the time because I didn’t want the ride quality to change at all from stock. Now I’ve come around, I definitely wanna get my car lowered soon either on springs or coilovers. The only thing stopping me is price. Coilovers are only $800-$1000 and I’ve already gotten quotes to get them installed. But what would really hurt is having to buy new rims too. I would go up in size, like 18-19”, and from the research I’ve done I would be spending $1200+. Then another $600+ for tires.

So my question is, is it possible to get coilovers installed with these small 17” wheels and still have it look good? I’m having a hard time visualizing it. I don’t know if it would look goofy still with these rims. like especially on the sides, I feel like it wouldn’t fill the wheel well enough? Thank you guys in advance for your opinions.

Bigger wheels would fill that wheel gap better than just dumping it on coils. 19s would be what I would do personally. Sweet car love the color. ✌️

Yeah, coilovers/spacers. It’ll look better but to be honest wheels really make a difference in the appearance. I’d get quality coilovers then save for larger wheels. 19’s or 20’s are probably the best for it. That’s my opinion though, you do what makes you happy that’s most important

Lowering it will make it look better regardless, but go low enough and you could pull those off. Just need some spacers and maybe a skinnier tire with more stretch.

If we HAAAAD to stick with those wheels, Spacers and coilovers could work.

Get some better fitment wheels off the classifieds

You could go for the meaty look and get some tires that are wider and maybe a tad taller so the tires have more girth. That way you use the tires to fill the wheel well. Also maybe spacers could be used to add more width but only to an extent.

Ditto what everyone else said. Also, take it slow bro. Get spring/coils now, maybe some spacers in a month, and in a year some new wheels? No need to rush. My wheels also were too small when lowered but I stuck with them for about 3 years and it still was fine for what it was.

Down and out would help IMO but like most have said a larger wheel (with a nice offset) and coils is probably the vision in your head.
