  1. Also speaks to the people who buy these and their driving habits and decisions behind the wheel. Charger, Mustang and Camaro at the top of the list and I’m sure we’ve all been passed aggressively by these cars.

  2. Piranha1993

Buick isn’t even on this list…Where in the freaking crap…

You can see why the vehicles listed are involved in these kind of collisions when you are out driving. Gotta watch all these MF’ers in traffic.

lol. Freightliner not only made the list, but ended up in the top 5. As a truck driver, that’s not surprising given the typical Cascadia driver

  4. Ok_World_8819

I’m surprised the Dodge Neon isn’t on here. The IIHS literally called it “a disaster”. Then again, I haven’t seen too many on the road anymore but YMMV

  5. Tesla didn’t make the list. What a failure 😞

  6. KlammFromTheCastle

VW barely cracks the list with the Jetta.

I need to look more into how this data was determined but I don’t think this is that accurate, because the most dangerous vehicles are also the most popular.

does this account for relative population or just shear numbers?

Cant believe Nissan Altima not at the tippytop

And these numbers follow sales #’s. No surprise that the most popular vehicles have more fatal crashes, simple statistics. I would venture to bet most if not all of those 402 fatal accidents in Ford Rangers are not the new model.

Cherokee at the top, grand Cherokee at the bottom somehow

  12. Head-Ad4770

Why are EVs and their battery and or charger fires not included?

The 2nd part of the graphic is the only one that means anything
    .

Who’s the poor bastard that died in a Daihatsu? There’s not that many in the country to begin with. Talk about unlucky.

⅔ of this chart is useless. Unless it’s adjusted for cars on the road it means jack all. If the safest car ever made was 99% of all cars it would top the list.

  16. mdang104

American cars always on top! Notice how there is barely any German cars?

  17. accidentallyHelpful

Corvette is #1 for single occupant fatality
