Sedans don’t sell, but Electric ones do?

This could go both ways, but I found this video discussing the decline of sedans in the US (I wish there was a PHEV Camry as I would buy that in a heartbeat). But he goes further to show that if the big 3 claim sedans aren’t selling, why are their attempts at EVs (after the overpriced and underperforming trucks failed) all sedans and hatches? what gives, maybe, they made awful cars and no one wanted (their) sedans. But I find it interesting that electric sedans are what they are going for after claiming they don’t sell

I find your question confusing with sedans and hatchbacks lumped together. Then there’s the fact that there’s no clear boundary between compact SUVs and hatchbacks.
