I drive a 2012 vw golf riding on Rev9’s pretty much as low is they go. My front struts can possible go about an inch lower, but my rear I believe I’m riding on bumpstop since when I completely remove the springs it drops only about a quarter inch. I can’t find anywhere for shorter bump stops for the rear struts idk if anyone can help me find some… but anyway I was wondering how bad of an idea would it be to cut the bumpstops for a possible lower ride height yet more travel.
Ps: I’m trying to get rid of that fender gap, I don’t mind an uncomfortable ride just as long as the bumps I hit won’t break anything

If you cut the bumpstops at the very least you risk blowing your struts. And worse, bending or breaking something else. Not to mention quality of ride. I would recommend finding coilovers that can go lower, or go with bags. As someone who has bagged many volkswagens, I suggest that route if funds allow.
