It also happens to be a flagship station. That mall now has 23 EA fast chargers. Ironically, there’s a Tesla station with 48 superchargers next to it, but EA is making a solid comeback and it’s great to see stations the proper size.

Of all the chargers in my area, EA seems to be the nicest (aka the least beat up or vandalized). Are they a recent addition to the EV market?

EA just needs to commit to having a minimum of 6 stalls per station in high use areas. The EA station nearest to my house has three stalls but they are all in use for a solid 18 hours a day.

The other station a little further away has 6 stalls and while busy does have a pretty good flow. Usually a car is leaving every 5 minutes once it’s fully in use.

I wish EA would let me remove J1772 plugs entirely. The station I mentioned above with 3 stalls has a 4th that’s the AC charger. When you look on the map it could say 1 of 4 available but that one is the AC charger but I don’t know until I look at all the stalls. It’s a really dumb thing.

Fantastic, so that means there should be at least 237 EA stations with at least one actual charger working. Sweet 😎

Remember when they were going to have 800 by the end of 2021? This just shows how much all the hardware replacements have slowed them down. They’ve had to reinstall many sites instead of adding new locations.
