Absolutely but it’ll cost you more then that in repairs within 4 months. Enjoy it while you can.

If all the routine service has been done, and you have all the maintenance records, well bought. If not, good luck.
Used-Arachnid-3971
Your going to spend waaay more on parts and labor fixing that thing. Honestly, enjoy it while it runs smooth.

People love these German cars but have no Idea what goes into working on these cars

Pretty car. Good luck, just, don’t try to repair one of these your driveway.

Buying this car is the cheap part. Keeping it running will be the expensive part. Also, drive carefully. Cops will be waiting to hand a bright red Benz owner a ticket.

Congratulations! Enjoy it! Stay safe and have fun. Do your maintenance and good luck with it! Crossing my fingers it will last. Old German luxury cars seem to either be incredibly reliable, or the opposite.

Nothing costs more than a cheap Mercedes. As you will soon find out
sparrow_42
I loved my Mercedes and have regretted trading it for a newer car for years. Keep up with basic maintenance, and (if you can) use a mechanic that works on other people’s older Mercedes.

You bought this gal either right before the major service or right after. Judging by the price it’s before. Run an OBD test and see what the computer says, check the oil when you change it, pull spark plug boots to look for leaky oil rings on the valve cover, check the belts and hoses. If it needs an overhaul just get the rebuild done and save yourself the trouble down the road, oh and be nice to that transmission. It can last a goog long while more without rebuild if it’s not whaled on.

If you can turn your own wrenches that isn’t bad. Just be ready to. And keep up on the maintenance. They don’t like to be abused like the W124s and earlier

I would be all over it at $2k, that being said I have a driveway full of old Benz and I like to do a lot own work so it’s less of a potential money pit for me.

Unfortunately you may have an M272 engine that either did or will experience the infamous balance shaft issue.
Trade it on marketplace for a Toyota, Honda, or Lexus, Acura if you want to keep it luxury

The most expensive german car is a cheap one. good luck.

I had an 83 300d turbo diesel with 387k miles on it and it was my favorite car I ever owned. Super reliable and sounded like a tow truck.

Go to YouTube or find a Mercedes on-line forum for repairs before taking it into the “stealership” for a fix. Most times Mechanics are in these forums & videos giving good advice for how to deal with issues. Check RockAuto.com for reasonably priced parts. Happy wrenching!

Wow so clean tho guys! For 2000 bucks.

That ride looks nice. I would either get a convertible for the weekends, or a 4 door sedan as a daily. I just couldn’t get a 2 door sedan that’s not an AMG. It’s in the style I wouldn’t get in that model. It’s funny I would get that style in a BMW 3 series but not a Mercedes.

Suspiciously cheap, tbh. Buying this from a friend or relative or something?

I’m shocked the instrument panel isn’t already a christmas tree.

Resell fast. Your gf can drive a bucket until she learns to check the engine oil. She knows how to pump gas, right? Or does she only know how to tailgate and risk putting any car straight into the junk yard. I’m talking about all of em not just your little gf. They all do it. Lol. She can’t sit in a car until she passes a homemade test on basic car maintenance 101 and basic mechanics 101.
