Every time I see the front end of one of these I think about Judge Reinhold washing his ’60 LeSabre in Fast Times At Ridgemont High, and singing “Raised On The Radio” by Ravyns!

“6 more payments and this beautiful 4 door luxury sedan is all mine!”

Yes, I know this is a 59 Invicta, but the curves are similar. Congrats on the find!

That’s awesome. My parents had one of those bad boys when I was a kid. They look menacing coming down the road at ya.

Ok, as someone who is a newbie to something like this, what are next steps.

I’m assuming a good wash is the first priority?

Then, what? Start to dismantle it, start replacing stuff, like hoses, brakes, etc?

Where could someone go to learn about a good, step by step, guide to getting something like this back on the road?

I’d love to build a bellflower style lowrider out of one of these

What’s the long term plan? Get it running and sell? Make it a “survivor” driver? Full restoration or resto-mod? It’s beautiful.

You should contact one of those detailing YouTube channels and see if they would be interested in doing a full wash and detail on it. Many of them would do it for free. This is content gold for some of those channels.

Ohhhhhh the sun! Ya know that feeling when you step out after 30 years of being in the dark? Ohhh so good

I hated 50s buicks as a kid. To me, they looked very, very angry.

Gorgeous lines! The coupe version is hot!! Not a ’59, but I did have a ’60 Biscayne for a few years as my daily driver. 3 on the column. Seeing this beauty, I really miss that car!

I had one of these. When you go to start it, turn the key to on and push the gas pedal. Thats how the starter engages. It took me forever to figure it out. Good luck!

    Me I’m lazy I’d hire a detailer

Great find. You might be able to polish the exterior to get the original paint looking good.

I’ve never seen reverse at the other end like that.

Wow! My all time favorite Buick. There’s nothing else like that out there. One of a kind style

  16. thatvhstapeguy

Dare I say the interior looks somewhat saveable?

  17. Boundish91

I’d love to just take a couple of days and just gently detail the car and bring it back.

  18. PerrysSaxTherapy

Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick ?
