    no OTA recall? after all it’s the same as tesla’s recall about their small fonts.

    At this point I’m pretty much going to assume anything with LG Chem/LG Energy Solutions pouch cells from ~2018-2020ish is going to get recalled.

    * Taycan (LG Chem Poland)
    * Etron GT (LG Chem Poland, same cells as the Taycan)
    * 2019-2022 Fat Etron (LG Chem Poland, 2023+ cars switched to Samsung packs)
    * Jaguar iPace (LG Chem Poland)
    * 2019-2020 Hyundai Kona (LG Chem China)
    * Chevy Bolt (LG Chem Korea)

    They told me only Chinese cars would have this problem.

    yikes first chevy, then nissan and now porsche. if tesla had a “battery fire risk” recall it’d be national news.

  5. This is not gonna be good for it’s already poor depreciation curve. Can’t wait to pick up a Turbo S for under $50k

    LG is the Korean battery manufacturer that has the highest market share out of Samsung and SK On, yet they have the worst reputation when it comes to battery fires
