With the slow speeds and all the stop/start, electric garbage trucks make A LOT of sense.
They may be electric, but they’re still just as loud a 7 am.

The company recently placed an order for an additional 100 McNeilus Volterras, which are expected to be delivered in 2025. Republic stated it expects half of its refuse vehicle purchases will be EV by the end of 2028.“
