  5. B_Williams_4010

I see a some well-kept – or restored – hobby cars out on nice weekends, but very few daily drivers.

  6. ThePurveyorOfGoods

Probably every couple of weeks. There’s still quite a few Morris minors, Triumph Heralds and MGBs knocking around in England

Almost daily, my aunt has a 66 Impala and there are a few 60’s cars that get driven daily in the cities I live and work in SW Ohio. Not uncommon to see a few Mustangs, Camaros, TBirds, and the occasional C/K10 rolling even in the winter around here.

I see a ’60s Ford and Chevy pickups being used to do actual truck things occasionally, but I’m yet to see one fixed up. A guy in the town I live in also has a ’60s 911 that I see him driving occasionally (he also has a much newer one).

In the summer I do see a lot of retirees with fixed up domestic cars from that era.

Someone who lives by my house daily drives a late 50s or early 60s Plymouth valiant. It’s four door with probably a slant six. It has beautiful lines and is truly a survivor as that was probably one of the cheapest Mopar cars u could buy when it was new and some how it’s just been on the road for decades and decades. Muscle cars are ok but seeing something like that is always more exciting to me

Pretty often but I live in Arizona so everything does a lot better here

i see them quite a bit here in chicago, surprisingly. mostly GMs, but some fords too. i rarely see old mopars

Usually during the summer, even then not much. I saw a red convertible 60’s something (couldn’t get a picture, my light turned green) today, so that was cool. Other than that mostly first gen Camaros, old GTOs and the occasional mustang.

Edit: there’s a ton of MGBs around, unsure how old they are since they have those black bumpers.

  14. Beneficial-Sugar6950

There’s a guy in my area that still daily drives an old Chrysler New Yorker

  15. TheAbstractHero

Well, half the year you don’t. The other half of the year you see them all the time. People seem to really enjoy driving classics during the summer months here in the upper midwest.

  16. Sir_Lee_Rawkah

I just sold the exact same car in the pic not too long ago

Occasionally on the weekends. In regular use? Never. The Midwest is way too corrosive for that. That reminds me though, my neighbor used to daily a clapped out fuselage Plymouth well into the 2000s when I was a kid. I only vaguely remember it. It was absolutely massive and made chuffing noises like a train. I loved it but my parents thought it was an eyesore.

I see cars a lot during the nice weather times (restored of course) but lately the only consistent 60s vehicles i see are vocational trucks. Saw a 60s GMC last weekend in action at the forest preserve drilling a new well. Strange rigs that see not so much use always stick around longer. The road construction company working outside my job was using a 70s ford to water sod yesterday. Something about those good old dogs doing what they do brings out the kid in me i guess… i went to the woods to enjoy nature yet i’m sidelined by this glorious old well truck idling up to start drilling, as it raised the drilling rig from the stowed position to upright. The age of the truck and its relevance to modern times all hit at once, and i thought “damn, this thing is badass”. Being run by a young-ish set if guys, with the previous well companies service advertisements still on the side, and an undeniable top end clatter that may have developed during the clinton administration for all we know, i thought of how it’s a really neat situation. Who knows how many careers were made out of that thing? I didn’t waste too much of my day with it, as i only stood watching for a minute or two, but it was definitely a welcome perspective. It had an immediate presence. It had a form of wisdom. It gave me a slight feeling of how an old reliable friend can be just as glorious in a strangely similar way. Hard to explain but if anyone gets it i’d expect it to be fans of this sub. It was a good day that day.

  20. Rock_Roll_Brett

I saw 4 dentside F100’s today, one of the guys who drives it I work with

  21. JiveTurkey1983

At car shows during the summer. Nobody dailies cars around here that are older than the 1990s

  22. Afraid_Locksmith8642

    I saw a 65 Thunderbird today couldn’t believe it

  23. Germanjdm

Once a month maybe, usually a Challenger or restored muscle car

  24. nukafan2277

Daily my neighbor daily drives a 63 Impala coupe in satin black sitting on ansen sprints … Shes badass

  25. Obscurus_Ubique

Own a ’65 Bonneville coupe and a ’67 Barracuda, so everyday. Out in the wild, around once a week until it gets too cold or road salt goes down, might see a dozen leaving a car show or just riding around in the summer in South Jersey

  26. MassiveEdu
