  1. Well yeah, they haven’t even started offering rides yet

Step 1: work. Step 2: oh well, they will never get past step 1.

but it can take not one… but two persons!!!

This is just self driving tech, no reason a diesel Mercedes can’t do the same.

How many times did he fire the top engineers working on it in a temper tantrum?

Tesla is a manufacturing company, creates value an product. Waymo and Uber are only software companies without any product

    STOP THE PRESSES!!!

The Robotaxi which was just announced (and not yet in use) is somehow still miles away from overtaking existing services like Uber and Waymo (which have been in use for years)?????

    No one saw that coming!!

Those other companies also haven’t made a profit, so it’s a race to the bottom, but hey, how about those stock prices?

Miles? Well if it drives 60 miles per hour it will catch up in a few minutes

Robo Taxi, People Mover Bus, and Humanoid Robots.

Yep. Tesla is doomed. The Competition is coming. Oh wait…

Uber burned billions to get to their first profit this year. And they didn’t build any cars.

If Elin is involved I am out. Not gonna support douchebaggary

People that defend this RoboTaxi mess also defended that stupid Boring Tunnels that created more problems than it solved. Reddit is rife with PR bots

Never mind self driving. Why on earth is the prototype shown a two seater with super compromised packaging due to door style and aero shape? Nothing here makes sense as a taxi.

The thing has first gen Insight vibes and I’d really like that as an EV. Needs a steering wheel though.

You could argue it doesn’t even exist. All we have is a weird prototype and sparse details.
IF this comes out, it’ll be in select cities, absurdly expensive, and it’ll be prone to errors (see current FSD). And it won’t be out until 2030 earliest.

It’s a scam.  Just like the $25K Cyber Truck.  Most people already know this.

I was prepared to be underwhelmed but even with that low a bar Musk managed to lower it by a fair margin.

First being almost an hour late is very disrespectful of the audience, especially those actually there physically.

The only new thing was the actual reveal of the robocab which apparently was leak to the media weeks ago since it looks exactly as depicted on several websites, and the robovan which looks like a Boring Company people mover with much less glass.

The timetable is pretty much Musk Standard Time: far into the future. My guess is the week after fusion goes commercially viable.

That’s me. The stock market has Tesla stock going down 8%, and Uber stock up 9%. So Wall Street is less than impressed.

The robotaxi event just confirmed that FSD will not be FSD for another 10 years.
