The Hyundai Kona is an Electrifying.com favourite, mainly because its great driving range and efficient use of energy make it a great option for anyone planning to go electric for the first time. However, the Kona isn’t without its flaws, it’s not the most spacious car in its class and the functional design doesn’t exactly turn heads.
But the Kona has been on the receiving end of a full-on glow up, or to be more precise – and in the words of Hyundai’s Design Director, SangYup Lee – a scale up. It gets a new look, a bigger cabin, a (slightly) bigger battery and a host of other goodies that will help the Kona stay at the top of its game until Hyundai fills out its IONIQ range with smaller offerings.
Should the Kona Electric be on your shortlist? Join Ginny as she takes a close look at the new version of Hyundai’s best-seller and discovers a host of new features. From the new vehicle to load function that allows you power standard household appliances directly from the main traction battery to the heated front charging port, the Kona isn’t short on gadgets.
Would you consider one? Do you think Hyundai has done a good job in refreshing the Kona? As always, we love to hear your views, so please leave a comment below.
