My buddy sent me this picture as we both enjoy vehicles. This is 1 of 5 prototypes (only 3 still exist) and was originally owned by Roger Bhatnagar.
*”The fourth of five XP or experimental prototypes built, this example was used by McLaren for gearbox and endurance testing. It subsequently featured in the British television show Top Gear, where it was road tested by presenter Tiff Needell. Having served its purpose, it was eventually sold by McLaren to a private customer in the United States. Its most recent owner is a prominent American collector, who showed it at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering where BMW’s centenary was celebrated. **Of the other two surviving prototypes, one is still owned by McLaren while the other passed to designer Gordon Murray**.”*

Asking genuiely out of curiosity, what it’s the difference with a F1 ?
This will be at Sonoma this weekend for Velocity International
My god what a spot.
Absolutely love owners of such cars who actually drive them.
Woah…Crazy spot. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than to see something like this
Came here to say, ultimate post. Few cars could top this priceless work of art.
I wonder if they’re headed to the Velocity Invitational this weekend.
I would give your left nut for that, if you don’t mind
Glad this wasn’t crushed, which seems to be the usual fate of most prototypes
