Micro to provide carbon neutral electricity to the plant and to our suppliers it was an initial 1 billion pound investment from Nissan and our partners together we are accelerating that plan today we are confirming an additional two new EV models for production here in UK these three vehicles will be future
Versions of the Nissan icons here in front of us kashai Juke and leaf the support of the additional new EVS we are announcing today we will require a third Giga Factory to supply our sandalan plant and the micro GD project will continue to grow and we have many infrastructure projects that

Announced today require three gigafactories in the city it means Nissan’s plans for the future electric versions of kashai Juke and the replacement for the leaf will enable up to 3 billion pound investment in Sunland in and the UK protecting 7,000 jobs in Nissan and 30,000 jobs in the supply
Chain today’s announcement comes also uh a new investment zone for the Northeast England the Northeast investment Zone will focus on Advanced Manufacturing and green Industries building on the Arc of innovation running from North umland down through Sunland and Durham with opportunities along the ti Corridor and bring in fantastic benefits Across The Wider
Region the investment Zone will bring opportunity through a total funding envelope of over1 160 million over the next 10 years enabling further investments in advanced manufacturing and green Industries across the whole of the region and will deliver an additional 4,000 jobs in its first 5 years this investment by Nissan and
