[Applause] hey guys this is your welcome Channel today we’re driving a 2024 mini Countryman pluging hybrid this vehicle is such a cool vehicle today we’re going to have a quick walk around and test drive on this vehicle from outside this looks like a just a small to mediumsized

SUV shape it’s got very cool looking design around the vehicle so this is the biggest mini that’s available at the moment until the new one comes in this is based on the standard mini country man but this vehicle is the plug-in hybrids that means it’s got all four-wheel all-wheel

Drive drivetrain with a EV battery from outside this one is a very shiny green finish and we got a lot of sort of black contrast black logo print and this particular logo means this is the plug-in hybrid version if you’re looking to purchase one of these I would

Highly recommend es mini garage if you’re in Oakland New Zealand on the side we have mini Ys small badge over here at the front another MINI logo that means it’s plug-in hybrid got the mini contrast going through the lines 4 headlights at the front as well plus black grills and some fog lights

Underneath so everything on this car looks quite premium we also got black roof and a sunroof on the top we have also standard Black windal cover and black roof rails so yeah looks quite classy on the side we have 19in wheels on these particular variants and we have continent tires

Equipped so it makes the vehicle looks quite tall overall but it’s still a very boxy shape with a lot of run design everything opening the tailgate on this particular pH drivetrain we have 405 l boot space that’s a little bit smaller than the standard Patrol version as the battery

Pack sits right underneath in terms of charging we have the charge port located on the passenger side and just supports type two standard plug-in to charge this vehicle standard home charge will be overnight so pretty standard across the vehicle power tailgate that’s also available petrol tank is on the driver

Side opening the back we have full Nappa leather seats the seat itself is very premium so this being my sitting position at the front about 178 cm tall I’ve got good amount of leg room good amount of foot room the fot really really good headro

Is okay just a little bit touch on the top so overall okay in terms of size the window itself is square the seating position is quite high up in the center we don’t get armrest but we do get airs and two USBC charging so overall sitting

Position is okay if you’re going to fit two people at the back if you fit three the city is a little bit awkward to step in just like that so yeah sit it’s quite straight up and my head is touching the center roof overall so four people is

Probably the recommended usage on this particular vehicle anyway let’s talk about business look at the front cabin so full Nappa leather seat again let’s step in so first thing we have find very very nice premium leather finish steering with quick buttons on the right and quick buttons on the left of your

Cruise control indicator and wiper stock are just like other minis so no issue at all at the front we have a display panel that shows your basic information about the EV charging about your driving information on the left that’s your Boost whether you’re charging or giving

Power so to speak we also have a small heads up display that’s a popup screen heads up display looks okay you can definitely see the information it’s not so premium overall in the center we have 8.8 in display that’s control your navigation reverse camera which is available just like that parking sensors

Are available as well nice thing is I really like all the approach from BMW or minis you always have these controls over here so you get the physical buttons If you need to do anything it’s all easy easy touch with your hands instead of taking your eyes off the road

Some quick buttons and here some quicker buttons on the top underneath this is all traditional information air conditioning which is a alter and two Zone by the way and quick buttons for start button stop button which is traditional on all mini cards cup holder USB charging 12 sockets more storage

Over here center console storage and storage are okay and that’s pretty much it let’s go for Drive see how that goes right right from the from the start it’s very very quiet this is certainly the quietest mini I’ve ever driven being I’ve Vol driven Patrol ones

Before very smooth from the start and go as you can imagine using the EV motor since we have started let’s quickly talk about e Drive modes so there are two different modes that you can select one is the drive mode when is the e Drive let’s go through the e Drive first under

The e Drive you’re able to shift between the top top one which is currently at Max E Drive which is basically your pure EV mode as long as you have charge left on the EV battery you are able to drive under this mode that means you can drive

This like a electric car just select that EV boost very very simple next we can push it down to Auto e drive mode this mode means it’s going to try to utilize the eveve mode as much as it can but if the even mode charge is low or if

You need the maximum amount of power things like that it’ll kick in the petrol motor or petrol mode so the combined you are getting the Hybrid Power using two Motors next we can go all the way to the save mode under the save mode it’s pretty much just going to

Get rid of the EV motor it’s going to use on patrol V motor under this mode it’s going to save you some battery that means when you need the charge you are able to use that again you can hear the engines roaring again so we can feel the

Engine power all that things for this particular Drive let’s quickly go back to the auto e Drive just so we can get a really good performance and also the consumption on each of the mode AP from the e drive mode you are able to go to sport which is give you a

Better throttle handling and also throttle response on particular vehicle and then you can go me which is just standard balanced nothing special and then you can go to the green which is the bottom one that’s going to give you the best economy by slow response on

Pedal and things like that so totally up to you whether you want to choose any of that while you drive these are two total separate mode if you want to combine those anyway let’s boost that’s quick we need to stop over here handling is nice it’s very

Responsive it’s very agile in terms of power output these combining gets 162 Kow of power on both EV and petrol and 385 newm torque it’s powered by a six-speed automatic gearbox overall very responsive you don’t get any hesitation while I’m driving on sport mode of course it’s got good amount t for daily

Drives and even under the pure EV or pure Patrol Mode still fa feels fair Fairly responsive and in terms of handling really really solid handling this is over drive but most of the torque and traction are concentrating on the front that means it’s very easy to turn it’s very

Responsive around any Corners things like that obviously this particular overdrive system is not going to take you Offroad it’s more helping the daily traction terms of EV this vehicle has got about 40 to 45 kilm driving wrange on pure electric which is quite good for daily

Drive if you are having a short commute during the day things like that let’s hope we can do a boost around this area let’s see how that go goes as we pass the spe On not bad at all once you put foot down you can feel the electric motor and the petrol motor just kicking the boost power there’s very little hesitation when you have the food down let’s try again like that honestly felt like a small H hat at some point although it

Doesn’t have the super massive power things like that now this is a good place we can test the handling the road here is really rough as you can tell but this thing handles so well it’s so that’s a lot of fun to drive around this area although it’s a fairly big size or

Chunky size for mini it felt small like it’s very idal around the corners you can feel the steering it’s very responsive and when it’s I Dr it’s not going to be super comfortable on this big road it’s really rough and you can feel the balance you can feel the end

Camera shaking things like that so yeah Comfort wise this is okay on a daily drive but if you are going to drive this around country road like this I would imagine the rear seats will be a little bit bumpy here and there but as a driver car this is absolutely

Brilant I like the steering feels it’s quite solid quite chunky on the leather finish and another thing we forgot to talk about is visibility since it’s straight road visibility is okay it’s not superb the Wind the glass at the front is on the smaller size plus the

Rear very to the mirror or glass is on the small size as well I like the traditional round shape and design that’s carry down on all the minis but you do lose a little bit Vision on the rear view miror so it’s not the best in terms of visibility but it’s not

Terrible there’s no major blun ball things like that as as you can see where I’m turning around on the camera but anyway this is super fun to drive I like the response and pedal shift things like that let’s go to the max EV mode and then on Sports to see how much

We can get out of this EV mode when we turn around from here look at the hand in it’s nice there’s a very minimal body roll on these car it’s boost yeah on the evv it’s not as powerful as the combined motor of course Let’s Go Auto again so there’s no one behind

Us let’s let’s do from 25 1 2 Three very cool I love the exhaust sound it just sounds sporty I’m not sure if there’s artificial sound in it or it just pure sound it sounds really really nice let’s slow it down Again very cool I love it if you want over take someone like on this country road it’s that easy the power itself is pretty good very smooth overall there’s not much hesitation or not much delay once you put the foot down and the pedal is responsive let’s try the pedal

Response look at that super super responsive I love how just the the vehicle transmission and handling they’re constantly talking to you they’re constantly listening to your paddle you know reaction let’s go around this corner here such a cool car to drive I’m sorry I’m going a little bit over speed limit I do

Apologize this is not recommended to do of course but it’s fine it’s just putting a smile on my face I hate to bring this up but it’s just like every time you drive a BMW or mini they all just make you smile like the acceleration the handling it’s a pure driver

Vehicle even if this should be a family car that’s be honest buying a mini country man is supposed to be a you know having a big cargo space bigger seats room pluging hybrid means it’s green it’s for daily drive this is still having so much fun

So much potential on driving part of it if you do want fun of it of course let’s go to the me mode Let’s go to the Daily Drive let’s slow it down right now on meid mode on the auto mode it’s really quiet I don’t get much noise apart from

The road noise of the tire noise here and there there’s not much wind noise you can hear the cars running through a little bit that’s pretty much it and if we go into the not the save mode sorry going to the max e mode it’s pretty much shutting down the petrol

Motor yeah we don’t get anything let’s quickly test around here look how smooth that is the indicator sounds particularly really loud under this mode and you are getting a little bit regeneration breaking on these um plug-in hybrids as as most pluging hybrids do you won’t be able to change

Much on that but that means if I leave the foot you can feel the vehicle gently slowing down right going to charge mode or charging the battery thatly helps with any you know breaking or downhill and low speed you are going to get a little bit whining noise on this

Particular drivetrain as this is the p your Eevee you know mode and Eevee motor would give you some small winding noise it’s not terrible you can hear it but it’s totally acceptable boost is okay on EV mode it’s not the Super most responsive compared to the petrol motor doesn’t

Give you the like heavy push behind the seats it’s very smooth you don’t feel any gear change well I suppose there’s no gear on the EV mode and it doesn’t feel that bumpy at all on these particular service and on some of the PA of surfice

It feels a little bit bumpy here and there being such a good handling vehicle but totally acceptable for what it is for what it drives let’s see low speed yeah you can definitely feel the bumps on this vehicle as we can tell and it’s got a fairly large wheel as well

We’re getting to be traction control of that again just smooth EV driving very relaxing to be fair um I like the seats seats hikes me really well being a Napal seat the whole support and the cushion feels very premium steering feels very premium I love that the only small thing

I find a little bit hard to read on the heads up display I’m still trying to find my best sort of position or adjustments on the his display of that anyway that’s pretty much all I want to talk about on next video if you’re interested any other mini videos
