(Almost) Holy Toledo

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure this is a Kaiser from the 50s. Not sure of the model, but I am sure I will try to make an update post when the garage next door wraps this one up.

I’ve always thought these cars were rad and appreciate them because my grandpa was in automotive in Toledo for 46 years and he was my inspiration for getting into the classics.

Also hot damn look at that color! 👍🏽 I hope they name this baby Orange Julius or something, it’s gonna be a great looking car when it’s done.

I think you’re right on it being a Kaiser.

Looked up 55 to 60 Kaiser cars , dosen’t match any of them. It’s got a Cadillac feel to it. I know its not but that’s what the head lights and tail lights say to me.

This is a “Kustom” modified Kaiser with a “Carson” removable hard top, custom tail fins/lights, “frenched” headlights and a “conventional” kit spare tire. The wheels are really out of place on this car. Typically Kaisers are 4 doors too. A buddy of mine did a full custom Kaiser as well.

  4. This is like if you asked MidJourney to generate a generic 50s car. Nice continental kit too.

  5. Looks like a standard windscreen (kaisers had the one with the “V” in the middle. The headlights are sort of ’56 Caddy, maybe with extended peaks. Made from a chopped down 4 door, still uses short sedan front doors.
