Thick vs thin sidewall

I know my camaro doesn’t count as ‘stanced’ but just looking for opinions because these tires are dry rotted and need replaced. Should I keep the thick sidewall or go with something thinner? Currently 235/60 R16.

The wheels are factory bmw bbs wheels I picked up from a junkyard because I noticed the bolt pattern matched. Had to use wheel spacer with hub centric ring but they fit.

Note: yes it’s electrical tape covering the bmw logo. Just temporary, haven’t decided the best route to take for the center cap yet but didn’t like looking at the bmw in the meantime.

Thanks!! Please don’t be too harsh, it’s a work in progress 🙏

  1. Saw the pictures and thought “those look like bmw wheels”

Not a bad fitment considering the tires you got. Style 5s also come in a 2pc 17″ as well, if you’re looking at a bigger size. Center bore is bigger as well, not sure if that’s an issue for you though

Why does it feel like it’s a scale model? Is it just the depth of field and the wide angle or is it actually a model?

thick for sure. maybe if you got a tad bit bigger wheels it could be pretty baller with something thinner but i’d say thicker on this beauty

Thin in the front if you plan on dropping it, nice 3rd gen

Balloon tires and stance don’t mix, do what you want tho
