The 2010 to 2013 Nissan Maximas.

ND MX-5. Looked awful on release, has aged pretty well and doesn’t look out of place design wise among newer cars.

The Jaguar XJ40. I used to think they were too boxy, and compared to the Series III that came before, or the X300 that replaced them, they just weren’t as nice looking. But it’s a design that grows on you over time, and I kinda like them now. I’d still rather have a Series III, but a nice XJ40 with a V12 would be a fun car.

Literally the RAV4 hybrid.
I used to work at a car dealer…(lot attendant) I had access to a bunch of vehicles. One I got to whip around was a 2020 RAV 4 Hybrid for sale…it’s actually very nice ride and the looks are simple but detailed at the same time. The display is in a good place too. I can see it being a good daily. But I’m too much of a car guy so I gotta get something else lol.

I thought the 8th gen civic was too much going on for a basic compact but now it feels so much fresher than its peers. I though the same about the 8th gen accord when it came out but it still looks bad

First gen Porsche Cayenne. Thought it was a hideous car when it first came out. The look has grown on me recently and I kinda like it more than the current one. I still see a few of them roaming the streets.

I’d love me a ’19-now RAV4 Prime

(with shame) Prius.

Kia EV6. At first, I genuinely thought that Kia was trying too hard on their EV holy grail. Looking back now, I think it’s rather decent. Definitely sporty, but the backside defo took much longer to get used to.

I still hate SUVs in general, but CRVs are some of the least bad I guess. While I never hated the exterior as much as some other SUVs, I used to absolutely loathe the interiors. Now, I don’t find them so bad. My mother’s had 3, so I’ve gotten to see some redesigns too. I don’t love it, but I no longer hate it either.
Alarming_General
ok, not sure if these count, but the Pontiac Aztec, SN95 Mustang and Catfish Camaro
Bnmko_007
The latest RS6 wagon. I thought it was wayyy over the top and not the sleeper car it used to be. Now I love it.

Gonna catch a lot of flack for both of these, but the Jeep gladiator and honestly I think the cybertruck is just… neat looking. And I thought they were both ugly as could be when I first saw them.
VEGA3519
The iX. It took a year to grow on it
OzTheMalefic
Current Mazda3.
Saw one on release and was so confused by it, especially the huge c pillar on the hatch.
There is one in one garage now and think it’s one of the sleekest designs out there at the moment.
For something really different. I think the Dino 308 GT4 has become a beautiful design the further we get from when it originally was released. There’s a definite class and style to it. Is it as good as the Dino 246 or the Ferrari 308, not even close, but it’s a very nice car.
