First time really dealing with a divorced set up and yes its a pain. I maxxed out my springs and it didnt really drop any. My buddies said i shouldnt need to mess with the shock but im beginning to think this isnt true. Do i need to lower the shock as well?

lol get shorter springs bro, swift springs specifically,
gotta lower the shock body too, which is why true style is better for stance
Take the two blue nuts off
Lower shock body, remove one of the locking rings,
It really depends on how much lower you want to go.
Don’t forget adjustment of shock height will affect spring preload.
Remove the adjusting collar from the spring
Pull the adjuster out, just run spring, max the shock out. If youre lower than you want to be, determine by how much, and start adding the adjuster and collars back in, adjust the shock with the spring.
its possible your sitting on the shocks bump stops. Lowering the shock should let you go lower if this is the case. If you want to test this remove the spring and jack up the wheel or put the car down and see if it goes any lower.
Adjust the shock 100%, they need to be adjusted similarly to keep ride quality decent, so spin that down.
Only need to adjust shock body once no matter the ride height. You just adjust it for bump stops. You remove the spring and jack the suspension up until it bottoms out. You want the bump stop to hit before the suspension bottoms out. If you want to go lower you’ll need to remove the collars. Or get a shorter spring.
take out the adjustment collar on the spring. easy
Bro the point to a threaded shock body is to adjust your shock travel to how low you are. Lower the body and see what happens
Adjust the shock height. Honestly tho I fuckin hate this type of suspension.
Yeah gotta lower the strut too, rn you probably just riding on the struts lol
