I don’t want to come off as a negative hater, so bear in mind that this is my opinion and that’s all.
I wouldn’t consider a post ‘64 Impala/Biscayne legendary. They are not terribly desirable in the collector market. They’re cool, and I really love that fast back look, but they really are the forgotten Impala.

That’s the best looking one. Tbh the reason they were so iconic is because they were a great looking car that was mass produced and sold as the baseline model(cheap) compared to other more expensive models from the same company and from other braand. At least that’s the way history was written (I personally was not around back then).

That ghost hunting tv show catapulted this generation to the limelight but they aren’t worth much

Calling a 1968 Impala legendary is a bit of a stretch. There are many other years of the Impala that are better looking and more highly sought after. The ’68 is one of the less desirable of the 60s Impalas. It’s still cool, but far from legendary.

As a 68 fastback owner, the only thing that could make them legendary was the number of units built. There were so many of them that they weren’t special. No one valued them and they simply disappeared.

The 427 big block under the hood.

Legendary for the big backseat 😏

It was a comfortable full sized car with some hot engine options and they sold a lot of them, but this particular model has never been considered legendary. Too large for optimum performance, too cheap to be considered luxurious, even in top trim.
