Crazy how the price tier was Station Wagon > Mustang > Truck.
Now it’s Truck > Mustang > Station Wagon.
Completely backwards.

Why did ford label various of their vehicles years with a 1/2?

The 1969 Mustang in current dollars equates to $19,385.00.
I’ll take three of them.

I’ll take the 1/2 ton in blue with Ranger trim, powered by the 300-6 with the 4spd transmission.

My 1975 Maverick was just about $3000 brand new. Its only taken nearly 50 years for it to be worth what it was new lol. Now we just need the housing market to come back down to where you can trade 4 blue berries and a cheese wheel for an 1899 Victorian mansion estate on 15 acres.

1970 Maverick was the car that I learned bodywork and painting on. It was really a 69 and a half if I remember correctly. Plenty of rust to learn how to fix. Eventually painted it bright red and gave it to my sister. Edit: rust, not rest. Because as we all know, rust doesn’t rest.

See the prices – this is what inflation has done…what they have taken from common Americans.Very Sad

Buying the station wagon is the equivalent of passing on Michael Jordan with the first pick.

my grandfather bought a new Maverick right when they came out in the end of 1969. Solid car, but it was 3 on the tree, no a/c. No tinted glass, no pwr windows or pwr locks. AM radio. It was really stripped not equipped… lol. But it was just 2 grand.

You could buy the truck for what new brakes and a set of tires costs today

Current 1970 Maverick owners would love to trade-in +$265 for a 1969 Mustang.
“Assortment of colors” means no modern day white and grey! 👍
