“Overrated underrated” meaning literally everybody says it’s underrated so everybody knows it exists.

Mk3 is definitely overrated compared to the Mk2.

  3. Redacted_Explative

The GMC Typhoon variant of the Jimmy. Basically its the engine from the Syclone in a SUV frame.

  4. FizzilessChampagne

toyota century, nissan stagea, base skylines, basically all lesser known jdms with iconic engines.

  5. It’s not underrated unless you get the actual jdm version. I have a 1988 na 7m 5spd manual and it’s very heavy and slow and the parts for the Usdm only 7mge engine are expensive and few. They aren’t worth the money for a nice one but the cheap ones are all garbage.

  6. A-STax32

Ford Panther platform, XV30 Camry, GM cars with the 3800, old Ford Rangers. Everyone’s always says these are great daily cars and that they’re so underrated, but literally everyone knows that they’re great dailies

2nd gen DSMs. I loved my old eclipse gsx , but that beautiful piece of shit was broke down as much as it was running.

  9. NCCORV17

The mid to late 80’s Corvettes. Very underrated. They were fast for their time and very sleek. Now they are the red headed step child of the Corvette crowd.

I have some opinions on the cheap/affordability part of the car world. I really have no interest in carbon wheels or fancy dancy leds on your $100k Maybach brabus amg trd M nismo car.

Overrated? Any of the Japanese hero cars. Skyline, supras, Silvia’s, old Corollas.
They’re good for the era and their original design intent which was cheap performance. But in today’s time with modern engineering you can outpace any of those stock with a new stock kia.

But hurry durr you can modify them to make them ultimate 1000hp drag and drift cars. Yes you can but it costs so much damn money. It’ll cost you around 20k in parts to make a 1000hp supra. That’s not including the drivetrains and suspension. And if you can’t diy that’s alot of labor.

Underrated cars? Imo german cars and cheap jdm/kdm/USD m cars. The german car scene is seeing more people come in and modify them. Old e series BMWs now have a ton of aftermarket support. People are starting to turbo and really track them and are finding out they can be built to around 3-600hp and handle well with simple coilovers, while being affordable. They’re becoming the new civic and Subarus of the car scene imo.

One segment I’ve tried following is the the cheapo econobox scene. I’m talking old 90s mazda mx3s, fwd corrollas, Hyundai elantras, Ford escorts/focus, etc. I followed one dude, jafromobile on yt, and he wasn’t afraid of turbong and drag racing his old ass elantra. With china making cheap parts now, and many opensource efi controllers available anything can be tuned up rather cheaply.

    Overrated…Cybertruck ……. Underrated…Aztek

Mid 80’s dodge Daytona turbo piece of 💩

  14. M1DNI6HT_K1N6

    Lexus LFA.

I know it’s heavily overrated now, but back I’m the 2010s, nobody took a look at it. They just saw it as an overpriced supercar from Lexus out of all brands, but now, people are starting to like it for the iconic engine and exhaust note. I feel like it deserves to be overrated since it was supposed to compete against Ferrari and Lamborghini, so of course, people chose those cars rather than this.

  15. TASKFORCE-PLUMBER1

Taurus SHO of the 90s. Had a 5 speed made by Yamaha. Zippy family sedan

  16. cshookIII

Early to mid 90’s dodge stealth, particularly the R/T Turbo. 300+ hp, rear-wheel (4-wheel) steering. Pure American sexification of the 3000GT
