I honestly think this would be a good addition to VW’s North American lineup. They could rebadge/restyle this for the North American market as a subcompact VW EV crossover to slot under the ID.4.

This would be similar to what VW did with rebadging and restyling the Skoda Karoq and selling it as the VW Taos in the North American market, and the Taos has been quite successful for VW in the North American market.

The Elroq is also quite similar in size to the Taos and is a crossover, so I assume it would be more viable to sell from a business perspective in North America than something like the ID.3.

Looks nice. Would probably do ok in North America.

Skoda make very sensible cars. I like what I’m seeing here.

It looks like Enyaq had a baby with Fabia.

This is the best MEB car in terms of price to performance, full stop. It’s basically an ID3, but bigger and SUV-styled, and with all the Skoda practicalities.

Volkswagen needs to decide what it wants its core brand to be – their own subsidiaries Skoda and Cupra are eating their breakfast, lunch, and dinner – be it combustion vehicles or electric, except when VW decides that they won’t sell these brands in other markets and also let Skoda have 2-3x longer waiting times for new orders than ID vehicles.

  6. I could see myself in this as the second family car. Would need to have snappier software than what I see in a lot of new cars though.
