  1. I feel like this is something only nerds like us care about, but I’d be more interested in a Mach-E if it had a better charging curve and better software.

Right now I don’t see a scenario where I recommend it over a Model Y, Ioniq 5 or Kia EV6.

Amazing what happens when you’re not just running a discontinued model and a model on stop sale.

I’m still baffled by the fact that there’s no Lincoln Mach-e. You don’t even have to do that much! I mean the integra sells well despite looking almost identical to the new civic

  4. Not surprising Ford has been terrible at EVs, they even needed to borrow the kinda mid MEB platform from VW.

Ford isn’t even trying. It’s bizarre. The Lyriq is selling so well- how do they not have an electric Lincoln!

Mary Barra coming in from the top rope laying the smack down!

  7. The anti-EV FUD still hasn’t abated, including on forums with mostly GM people. It’s just amazing that the Lyriq outsold every ICE vehicle Cadillac makes except the Escalade (which it’s also catching up to), and they still won’t abandon the “nobody wants EVs” line because they love the smell of petroleum in the morning.

  8. So why didn’t they make an EV sedan and then an actual EV Mustang?

Company that refuses to launch new EVs overtaken by company that does. More at 11.

If they’re doing this by group, then I’m surprised Hyundai Kia (with Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis BEV sales combined) doesn’t best both Ford and GM in the US. Is that really true?

GM proper SUV, ford not an SUV but looks like one

Makes sense. There were probably some loyal GM customers waiting for GM EVs like the new models to make the switch from ICE.

My neighbor is one such person. He has only ever owned GM cars because his father is a now retired GM engineer. And he got the Blazer a few months ago.
