That is a 1976 model, IMHO the last year they looked good. Also the last year for the 455. It’s all downhill from hear.
Now all the Burt Reynolds fanboys and downvote me to hell, but they used a 76 in the movie with a 77 front end. And that thunder chicken was ugly as something AMC would have made.

76 Trans Am LE

My brother had a ’76 Trans Am, I had a ’68 GTO at the same time. Both cars had the 400 engines. Mine had 360 hp, iirc, while his had 180 hp. His Trans Am handled much better, but my GTO was much faster.
