My Subaru has the same problem. No recall. They are more likely to do recalls of its OTA vs physical replacement of components.
It was the same with the ABS icon. Tesla recalled, but prior instances of the same problem did not

Is it really a recall when they just push out an OTA update? I think of recall as take it to the dealership or mechanic to fix, not hit update on the screen while at home.
Meanwhile people in r/technology are getting their dicks out for a giant circlejerk about this – not knowing or caring that it’s an easily fixable software bug.

Only interesting info is 27185 Deploreons sold till 9/14. They are going to run out of folks willing to shell 100K+ on this POS.
