    Pushing gas car ban may be counter intuitive.

    EV is clearly the superior technology, just like iPhone/Android is far superior to Blackberry. The government should support fledgling technologies but shouldn’t be banning stuff. Let the free market and superior product decide.

    The government didn’t have to ban Blackberry for it to die. It also doesn’t have to ban gas cars. Just let technology takes its course.

    People throwing around how the free market should decide are missing one big part of the discussion. The environment.

    I won’t pretend to suggest EVs are good for the environment. They aren’t.

    But, all legitimate reports suggest they are better than gasoline powered vehicles and sometimes you need to work around the free market for the betterment of society.

    If we just listened to the free market, we would be okay with DuPont poisoning us all of the time for marginally cheaper goods.

    Not how any of this works.

    Private companies will not hand over cash. Excessive production will oversupply the market, crashing profits and causing the same companies to cut back.

    I’m personally against bans… but gas costs should reflect the true cost of… including health and environmental

    In my view, I am against any bands of any ICE cars. But I agree that EVs are far better in so many ways. I just don’t want the government involved.
