EV share of total new-vehicle sales in Q1 was 8.9%, the highest level recorded.
“After seeing sales fall year over year in the first half, **market leader Tesla returned to growth mode in Q3, with sales up 6.6%, thanks mostly to the newly introduced Cybertruck**. Despite a six-figure price tag – average transaction price in September was north of $116,000, according to Kelley Blue Book estimates – **more than 16,000 Cybertrucks were sold in Q3. In fact, Cybertruck outsold every other available EV except for two – Tesla’s popular Model Y and Model 3**.”
I’ve also gotta note that the Cybertruck YTD sales estimates have passed even the YTD estimates of both the F-150 Lightning & Rivian R1T.
**USA Q3 2024 EV Top 10**
1. Tesla Model Y – 86,801 (-9.1% YoY)
2. Tesla Model 3 – 58,423 (9.7%)
3. Tesla Cybertruck – 16,692
4. Ford Mustang Mach-E – 13,392 (-9.8%)
5. Honda Prologue – 12,644
6. Hyundai Ioniq 5 – 11,590 (-0.6%)
7. Chevrolet Equinox – 9,772
8. Chevrolet Blazer – 7,998
9. Rivian R1S – 7,245 (-21.1%)
10. Cadillac Lyric – 7,224 (139.4%)
