Northstar Cadillacs as project cars, yes they have head stud issues. But I don’t care because I’m replacing them with ones that won’t stretch, bam, no longer an issue.

Yes it’s not as powerful as the LS motor, that’s not the point, it’s a smooth ass motor that gets good mileage for a 4.6 liter V8

Final gen Impala SS, all it needs realistically is a new transmission

Reddit when someone wants to get a car that’s not a Toyota, Honda or Mazda.

  4. Classic cars. So many younger car nerds just don’t get it.

Alfa Romeo Giulia. Yeah, first year releases were buggy as shit. But most brand new designs are.

I have 2 and I’m tired of hearing about it any car with an LG4 or L03 and the SN95 from ‘96-‘98.

I’m going be very clear here, the 305 Chevy did nothing wrong. It was simply advertised wrong. 45 cubic inches doesn’t make that much of a difference and you can build one to the same level as a 350. If GM tried to make a new 305 people would buy it in droves and thank GM for making something that’s not a V6 or 4 cylinder.

I say the SN95 with the 4.6L because let’s face it,
You’ll probably never own that JDM drift machine since the “Drift Tax” has gotten so high and any good ones have been crashed. Then in comes the SN95, which there millions of that are still in good condition and can be had for little money. They drift nicely and are easy and cheap to fix. Are they the fastest thing in the world? No not even close, but it’s faster than most of the entry level RWD sports cars from Japan of that era and far easier to find.

Big Malaise-era cars. Pull out all the emissions crap and they develop a fair bit of oomph.

    Me driving my stick mirage:

    “Doug demuro doesn’t like those”

    “They’re slow”

    “It’s a mitsubishi”

“You could have bought a used civic”

Me growling that little 3 cylinder up to redline with five years and 50k still on the driveline warranty 🙂

I take good care of it so it should last me, it’s paid off, my whole family fits in it, it can do highway trips if needed, and i don’t have to do five point turns to get out of the parking lot when i drop my kids off at school. I like it.

Driving a dodge journey for a few years with absolutely zero issues or complaints other than being gutless on the highway.

Bought one cash off a co worker who was hurting and needed to sell it (2013 with 30,000 Km). Bought in 2017, drove for 4 years and it served me well. Started to rust so I sold it on kijiji.

Yea, it was a gutless 4 speed, but I drove it everywhere hunting and fishing and travelling for industrial work. I didn’t *love* it, didn’t hate it.

    It was just okay.

    Trucks, when mentioned on reddit.

Mileage is fine. Parks fine. Fits the roads. Fits my garage. No, I don’t work in the trades or live on a ranch. No, my dick hasn’t started shrinking.

I can’t imagine going back to something without a bed.
