>If Elon’s pro-Trump antics or the dumpster-inspired styling have turned you off to the Cybertruck but you’re still in the market for an upscale electric pickup that won’t make you look like an Andrew Tate fan, the new Sierra EV Denali is worth a look.
This is hilarious. Props to Jo Borrás for the great commentary

When reading these articles, it bears reminding that top trim ICE competitors (e.g., Sierra Denali Ultimate with Duramax diesel, Ford F150 Platinum or Limited, etc.) MSRP for mid-$80Ks.
* I was on the waitlist for Rivian, but was put off by the range, initial reliability, and questionable solvency. * I was on the waitlist for Cybertruck, but was put off by the lack of range, and Musk’s turn to batshit wannabe supervillain. * I was on the waitlist for Ford Lightning, had one in hand, and was put off by the dealership springing a $10K “market adjustment” on the deal.
I’m not a GM / GMC person, but the initial reviews on the GMC Denali EV are *really* impressive. The supercharger network recently opening up to other brands and the faster charging architecture on the GMCs makes this a viable cross-shop. Never would’ve guessed seeing this level of EV competence from GMC.

A 5 ft tall person driving that could not see the ground over that sky high hood. What a horrible design!

Such clickbait! The 2024 “base” model is a first edition which is commonly a top of the line version. For 25 they have now actually introduced a base model. Shame on electrek for this bullshit.
